Shelli and Brayden - K1 by Geoff Hardy

Living in Victoria and trying to organise a wedding in South Australia could pose a bit of a logistical challenge for some couples. But for Shelli and Brayden, they took it all in their stride.

Shelli has since told me that all of their suppliers (see detailed list at end of this post) were "absolutely fantastic throughout the planning and made the day so easy and relaxing for us."

That's just how Brayden and Shelli roll.

I love it when a couple can laugh with (and at) each other and life - I feel like it's a pretty reliable barometer of humility, acceptance and resilience in a relationship.

Their patience was tested on the wedding day when the charter buses they booked (to make sure that their interstate guests didn't get lost) got lost. But Brayden and his groomsmen shrugged it off and just kept the bad jokes coming.

The ceremony was a warm and inclusive family affair with Shelli's brother, Ben, playing acoustic guitar for the processional, both sets of parents standing for the giving away, Brayden's sister, Ebony, doing the opening reading and his brother, C.J., providing light comic relief throughout (and the rings).

Each member of the bridal party played a pivotal role in Brayden and Shelli's meeting and getting together and so the gorgeous couple made sure to add a special thank you to them as well for their support, laughs and friendship.

Brayden pledged to not yell at the TV when Hawthorn are playing and Shelli's compromise was to stop begging him to get a kitten and I've got a good feeling that they are going to get their 'happily ever after' too.

Shelli says: "I just gave him bits and bobs I’d collected whilst planning and Brayden and our groomsmen put it all together the night before. Clever boys! We didn’t want to overstyle the venue - it is so spectacular, we just wanted it to speak for itself."
